Apple’s latest duo of mobile smartphones, the high-end iPhone 5S and colorfully affordable iPhone 5C, were among the top three spots on the Unites States carrier sales charts for September.

The tracking data includes sales stats from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile, all of which had the iPhone 5S dominating the top spot, with the iPhone 5C veering between second and third place across carriers. The other big contender for September was the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S4, which held a tight race against the iPhone 5C, dominating it on Verizon and T-Mobile, but losing to it with AT&T and Sprint customers.

This puts Apple as the top-selling smartphone vendor in the US for last month.

And to give you some more solid numbers to digest, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C combined sold a devastating 9 million units last we checked, with more and more phones flying out the doors of retailers each day. Gold ones, blue ones, some as big as your head… well, that’s actually not the case unless you have a very small noggin, but the gold ones and blue ones are certainly still up for purchase.
