Talking tech since 2003

While many analysts have been saying not to expect new Apple products in the first half of the year, that apparently isn’t stopping Apple from holding an Apple TV-related event in March, according to Peter Misek of Jefferies.  The event is reportedly not for new Apple TV hardware or an Apple television set, it is instead to introduce a way for developers to write apps for the current Apple TV.

This isn’t exactly new to us, as we previously wrote an article about apps coming to Apple TV, so it’ll be exciting to see if that comes to fruition.

Nonetheless, Misek also expects an Apple television set to launch this fall, likely in September or October.  He’s not alone with this line of thinking either, as we reported late last year, Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray also expects an Apple television to be released sometime this year.
