Best Overall TV’s
This 1080p plasma TV has excellent high-definition picture quality and does a top-notch job of displaying the finest detail. The color accuracy is very impressive, colors look very natural and life-like and the TV has very good contrast thanks in large part to its deep black levels, giving images depth and dimension. Additionally, the brightness level is good, therefore making it a great choice for most rooms. The TV has 3 HDMI ports, WiFi, and comes with apps like Netflix and Hulu. It’s also 3D (3D glasses not included, they are $60 per pair).
Pricing starts at $1600 for the 60″ model (recommended). Buy the Panasonic ST50.
If you are looking for something a bit smaller and significantly less pricey than the Panasonic ST50, the Samsung UNEH5300 is for you. This 1080p LED TV is a Samsung SmartTV which has nice picture quality, and built-in WiFi and web browser. It sports 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, and 1 ethernet port, 1 set of component connections, and 1 set of digital audio video out connections. And even though it has a list price of $579, it can be found for under $500 on Amazon, making it a really good deal. The TV is available from 32″ to 50″.

Best Value TV’s
If you are in the market for a TV, but are on a strict budget, the Samsung UNEH4003 is for you. The price of TV cannot be beat for the value you get. Even with though it has a list price of $419, you can find it online for much cheaper. On Amazon’s it’s available for under $300. This 32″ LED TV is only 720p, but at a normal viewing distance, your eyes will not be able to tell the resolution difference between 720p and 1080p on a smaller screen, so it’s not the end of the world. The same logic can be applied to its 60Hz refresh rate, unless you’re super sensitive to motion blur — it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. For the money, this is the best value TV we have found.
