Finding The Best Web Host

I received an email the other day from Ryan who is one of my YouTube subscribers and he wanted to know how to pick a good web host. This is an excellent question. The web hosting business is an over crowded business and that makes it very hard to tell who is legit and who isn’t. It also makes it hard to find a web host that can suit all of your needs as well as provide good support and knows what they are doing.

There are currently five web hosts I recommend to people, they are: Webair (who I use to host BestTechie), (high-end low priced dedicated servers), Liquid Web (excellent provider – very reliable), Godaddy (for cheap, pretty decent hosting), and Exportal (cheap dedicated servers).

Which web host do you use? How do you like them? Leave a comment!

How to start a cloud hosting business
  • Isn’t it best to buy a server (keep it in a room or something that U don’t use) and use your own server…

    Is it?

  • @Antonio: No it’s not. It’s completely unreliable for a number of reasons.

    1. A home Internet connection is no where near enough to run a decently sized website. Even with a solid upload / download speed with all these people accessing the site your connection would slow to a crawl.

    2. You don’t have the necessary battery backup in place if the power were to go out.

    3. It puts your home network in a vulnerable state.

  • I use and I do get good support with both. Any way your video came up in a random youtube search. Was actually looking for videos exposing top hosting sites as being a bad thing. Not sure how yours came up in that search but it did. Your video had listed server bult which I was not able to find and it does not seem to be listed above either.
