Thanks to the magic of the internet, you can easily reach millions (if not billions) of people. Back in the day, marketing happened mainly over the phone, by mail, with banner, and newspaper ads. Today, digital marketing has mostly replaced all these channels. For instance, a newspaper ad is not as effective as localized digital marketing, which is why most companies opt-in for marketing their businesses online.

So, how do you reach the widest audience? What kind of digital marketing channels are the most effective ones, and why? Reza Shojaei, the founder of Value Marketing, a multinational iGaming corporation, sheds some light to the effectiveness of digital marketing.

Digital marketing can help you to reach millions of people

The fact is, that with the right kind of marketing, you can reach millions of people every day. However, usually, just reaching a great volume of people is not enough. Instead, you should be able to reach your target audience, or in other words, the people who are the most likely to convert to customers or leads. 

“Targeting your audience is one of the most important things you can do. Simply reaching a whole a lot of people usually is not enough to get you sales”, Shojaei explains.

Value Marketing is a multinational, multimillion dollar company that operates within the iGaming industry. It was founded in 2017, and only within a few years, it has reached the multimillion dollar mark. This would not have been possible without effective digital marketing.

Targeting is key

For instance, a local store that sells pet goods, wants to target people within a close proximity that own pets. On the other hand, you would not want to have a digital marketing strategy that targets people from another country: chances are that those people will never visit your store, and you are only wasting efforts. You can, for example, set digital ads that target people within a certain area, demographic, and with certain interests. This way, you will probably reach less people, but they are more targeted, and thus will most likely convert to leads.

“For us, our two brands, and target all demographics over 18 years of age within the twelve countries we operate in”, Shojaei says. 

Search Engine Optimization is your best friend

There are many channels you can use to market your business online. In fact, we will look at some of them below. However, one of the most important ones is Search Engine Optimization. Frankly, it means how well your website ranks on Google and other search engines. This can be achieved with well-written and optimized content and the purpose of it is to make your website and online store easier to find online.

SEO can be done for free – if you know what you are doing. And the best part of it is that, when done correctly, you can reach your target audience easily. In fact, by investing time and resources to SEO, you can trump almost all other means of digital marketing. Not to say that other means should not be used supplementally, but SEO can be the most effective (and cost-effective) way to reach your potential leads.

For us, SEO is by far the most important tool, because iGaming related websites are often not allowed to advertise online, for instance, with Google ads, Shojaei says.

Digital marketing channels that reach millions of people

In addition to SEO, you can use more specific channels for marketing your business. Keep in mind, though, that the quantity is usually not as important as quality. Some of the most effective channels are, for instance, the following:

  • Social media
  • Google Ads
  • Direct marketing

Social media channels include, for example, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Nowadays, if your business does not have a social media account, you are probably getting run over by other companies. Social media is an excellent way to engage with your customers, as well as promote and market your products. In fact, social media marketing can be done for free, and you can supplement the effects of it with paid ads.

Google Ads are paid ads that show at the top of the search results on Google when a potential customer inputs a search with certain keywords. They are a wonderful way to reach customers and leads if your site is not yet ranking well with natural SEO.

Direct marketing can mean many things. We can talk about direct marketing when we talk about telemarketing, door-to-door marketing, or even email marketing. In this instance, we mean email marketing. Many websites, blogs, and online stores allow their customers and visitors to subscribe to their newsletters. As your email list grows, you can send direct offers and news to your leads. The people who are already subscribed to your newsletters are interested in what you have to offer: there is some great potential to turn new people to customers and urge older customers to purchase again.
