Talking tech since 2003

Believe it or not, there are legit reasons for wanting to download a video from YouTube. Think about it: what if you want to play a clip in a place with spotty internet? Or what if you’re creating a brand new video using clips from YouTube and other video-sharing sites? What if you want to download a video you think someone might pull offline in the future?

No one’s going to think you’re crazy for wanting a YouTube video downloaded locally. Well, except for YouTube. YouTube has little to gain from enabling you to easily download videos, so the service just flat-out doesn’t let you. Thanks, Google! Fortunately, we have software available that lets us skirt Google’s rules and download any YouTube video we want.

It’s called the BitDownloader YouTube Video Downloader. And using it is remarkably easy. You remember those GEICO commercials that said, “So easy a caveman could do it?” Using BitDownloader’s YouTube tool is actually easier.

To start, you visit YouTube, find the video you want to download, and copy that video’s URL. Next up, you visit BitDownloader’s YouTube Video Downloader and marvel at its clean, easy-to-use interface. And then you paste the YouTube video URL into the space labeled “Enter the video’s link here.”

After that, you click the download button. And that’s it? Not yet. There’s a little more you have to do, but it’s to ensure you’re getting the kind of video you actually want.

ALSO SEE: This is another good site if you are looking for a great tool to download YouTube videos. https://notmp3.com

Scroll down on the page, and you’ll see a section with several video qualities and formats listed, along with download buttons for each quality. This enables you to choose whether you’re getting a 720p mp4 video, for example, or something at a lower 360p resolution.

And if you scroll down a little more, get this: you can even download your video without sound. Choosing something sans audio gives you more resolutions to choose from, and also cuts down the file size a bit.

Click the download button next to the video quality and format you want, and boom-shakalaka, you have the video you desire, downloaded to your hard drive where no one can copyright strike it and no one can tell you what you can and can’t do with it (well, unless you re-upload it again, but we’re not lawyers, so don’t listen to anything we say on that topic).

And that’s it! If you want to download YouTube videos without a lot of hassle, BitDownloader’s YouTube Video Downloader tool is the solution you’re after. Go check it out.
