Mozilla Announces Developer Preview Phones for Firefox OS

This year is shaping up to be a big one in the mobile space. iOS and Android are still going strong, Windows Phone 8 is set to make a big push, and BlackBerry OS 10 devices will make their way onto carriers in the near future. We even caught a glimpse of Canonical’s Ubuntu Phone OS. It begs the question: will the market be receptive to even more mobile OS options?

Mozilla seems to think so, as today it outed two developer phones for its Firefox OS — the Keon model and the Peak model. Both will run a preview of Firefox OS, and Mozilla hopes both will be available sometime in February.

Microsoft’s New IE 10 Ad Hopes to Turn IE Haters Into IE Lovers

Have you seen the latest Internet Exploder, I mean, Internet Explorer 10 advertisement? If not, you need to check it out (video above). The video features an “Internet troll,” trolling blogs, Twitter, and Facebook saying that IE sucks, to which, the Internet Explorer social accounts reply back and troll the troll. It’s quite amusing and fun to watch.

This is a really well done commercial. Instead of showing how flashy IE 10 is (and it is much better in my experience), it’s almost issuing an apology for how bad previous versions of Internet Explorer actually were and in doing so promises better things to come. In fact, the commercials ends on a statement, “Progress. Comebacks come in many shapes and sizes.”
