Talking tech since 2003

After facing some harsh criticism by potential customers and critics, Amazon has caved in and will remove ads from Kindle Fire for a $15 fee. Prior to this announcement by Amazon, the company insisted that all Kindle Fire’s will come with “special offers” on the home screens and lock screens, and that unlike with Kindle e-readers, the Fire would not provide any option to remove the ads with an extra payment.

While Amazon’s product targeting is very good, if not, the best product targeting ever created, it’s still good to see that Amazon is keeping their customers in mind. This is especially nice to see after the comments made by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos about the customer being the company’s focal point and one of the reasons I decided to buy the Kindle Fire HD.
