Talking tech since 2003

A Google+ post from Google’s Project Glass team has confirmed that its wearable computer frames will, in fact, work with prescription glasses.

The Glass design is modular, so you will be able to add frames and lenses that match your prescription. We understand how important this is and we’ve been working hard on it.

In addition, a photo of Glass team member Greg Priest-Dorman was shared (we’ve placed it at the top of this post), showing an early prototype of the Google Glass device that works with prescription lenses.

This is great news for those who require vision correction but don’t want to wear contact lenses just to use Google Glass. The Glass team added that the “Explorer’s Edition” of Google Glass won’t support prescription frames, but a version that does can be expected later this year.
