Talking tech since 2003

Despite the frustrating pre-order fiasco, Apple just announced that it set a new record for iPhone pre-orders, selling more than 4 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models in the first 24 hours. According to the Apple press release, demand for the new devices exceeded expectations for the initial pre-order supply, with shipments being pushed back to October.

Those of you who weren’t lucky enough to get in on the first wave but don’t want to wait 3-4 weeks for your new iPhone, Apple retail stores and several authorized retailers will have a limited supply available on a first-come, first-served basis Friday morning at 8AM. If you’re serious about waiting in line, make sure you get there way earlier, especially since iPhone launches have a tendency to attract people who camp out several days in advance.

Which model did you pre-order and when do you expect to receive it?
