Sprint announces August 30th availability for BlackBerry Q10
Are you in the market for a QWERTY smartphone running a modern operating system on Sprint’s 4G LTE network? Well, good news – Sprint has just announced via a press release issues today that they will begin selling BlackBerry’s other flagship BlackBerry 10 platform, the BlackBerry Q10, on August 30th for a full $199.99 with an eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement.
While BlackBerry 10 has been designed and developed with touch input in mind, BlackBerry still has a core segment of customers who demand those classic QWERTY keyboards that have gone out of fashion in recent years. The BlackBerry Q10 was the first smartphone to run BlackBerry 10.1, an upgraded version of the company’s next-generation mobile operating system, with UX/UI tweaks, keyboard shortcut improvements, two-factor authentication for supported services, BlackBerry World improvements, and more.
The BlackBerry Q10 features a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built in memory (with a microSD expansion slot), a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED screen, 8 megapixel rear camera, and 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The Q10 is also one of Sprint’s international roaming devices which allows the phone to piggyback on GSM networks prominently used outside of America when traveling abroad – for an additional charge, of course.
