Google is taking applications for its Street View Trekker

I’m not sure if wearing this makes you awesome or incredibly nerdy, but either way, it helps Google. The wearable device I’m referring to is called the Street View Trekker, and it allows Google to collect Street View information and imagery for locations that don’t have roads.

Google is taking applications from tourism boards, non-profits, government agencies, universities and research organizations, so if you’re not a part of one of those, you’re out of luck at this point.
