Talking tech since 2003

Kevin Packingham, Samsung’s mobile chief product officer has quietly left the company according to The New York Times.  Packingham joined Samsung’s US division in 2011, one year before the release of the Galaxy S III, which propelled Samsung in its battle against Apple.

So far there has been no reason given for his departure, and it’s not known whether he was pushed out or left of his own accord.  All we know at this time is that a Samsung spokesperson told the Times only that “Kevin Packingham has departed Samsung Mobile. We thank Kevin for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

We’ll keep an eye on the news and let you know if anything else turns up.
