Talking tech since 2003

Marketcircle, the creators behind Billings, winner of the Apple Design Award 2009, released today a long-awaited counterpart mobile app Billings for iPhone [Link opens iTunes].

For those who need a refresher, the desktop version of Billings appeared around 2005 and quickly rose to be a premiere invoicing & billing application for iTunes. Users could quickly track time and expenses, monitor client payments, and E-mail professionally-designed invoices with a simple click.

Billings for iPhone brings the same intuitive features to your pocket and can be used as a standalone product (for free) or in sync with the desktop counterpart (in-app upgrade required). Launch the application, and you’ll be prompted to import your personal information from iPhone’s address book, draw a company logo from your camera roll, and enter tax information of the state you’re operating in.

Import a client’s information from iPhone’s address book and begin tracking expenses. Set your rate, start the timer on a project, and pocket your iPhone. Never lose track of your mileage because you reset your odometer. Quickly compute quantity totals. Ensure that you always know where you’re at with your clients’ payments with built-in invoice tracking.

Extra tidbits like Blueprints make drawing up special timeslips even faster by defining preset rates, markups, discounts, etc.

The full version of Billings, which grants the ability to compose & E-mail invoices on the go and syncing with the desktop application, is available as an in-app purchase for $14.99. Check it out!
