Talking tech since 2003

Those in tech and, more specifically, gaming, talk a lot about how digital game prices shouldn’t cost as much as their physical counterparts. You can’t trade them or resell them, and you have no tangible object to display ownership.

xboxFortunately, you can find some deals on digital credit every once in a while to make building a disc-less library more palatable, and that’s the case at Best Buy right now.

Head on over to the Best Buy website and add a $25 Xbox digital credit card to your shopping cart. Once you do that, you’ll see that $5 is taken off as part of a Best Buy special, and that a $5 digital code is also part of the deal.

This means you’re getting $30 worth of Xbox digital credit for $20. Not bad at all.

Now, there is a caveat to this deal. Best Buy is limiting its customers to one Xbox card per order, so you’ll need to go through a whole other transaction if you want to get some additional mileage out of the deal. And even then, we’re not quite sure if the deal will work with multiple transactions, or if there is a limit per customer.

We’ve reached out to Best Buy for clarification and will update if we hear back.

Also, big warning: you’ll need to move quickly should you decide to plunk down the cash for this deal. It only lasts until tomorrow, and then we’re not sure if the discount will disappear, or if the $5 bonus code will go away, or both. If you’re all about building a digital library on your Xbox One, or if you spend a lot of money on Arcade titles or DLC, order now. Better safe than sorry.
