Samsung to school Retina MacBooks, Chromebook Pixel with new display

The high-resolution displays that Apple and Google have worked into their laptop offerings are pretty impressive, but Samsung isn’t about to give up without a fight. The Verge is reporting that Samsung plans to take the wraps off of a 13.3-inch QHD display with a resolution of 3200 x 1800. For those tracking pixels-per-inch (PPI) at home, that puts the Samsung panel at 276 — a good bit higher than Apple’s MacBook Pro 13 (227 PPI) and the Chromebook Pixel (239 PPI).

We’ll be sure to let you know when one of these Samsung displays makes it onto an actual device.
