Great Video Game Deals from Amazon

If you’re like me, you enjoy the deep discounts that come along on Black Friday, but you wouldn’t be caught dead waiting in line at a retail store with hoards of other people. For those who fall into this category and consider themselves gamers (or have some gamers on their shopping lists), Amazon has some pretty nice deals right now. I should note that Best Buy and Walmart also appear to have some of the same deals, but in-store pickup seems to have been deactivated for many of them.

So, the choice is yours. Will you cross your fingers and go to a Best Buy or Walmart retail location and brave the crowds, or take advantage of these great prices from the comfort of your own home?

For video game sports fans, both FIFA 13 and Madden 13 are currently selling for $34.99, which is a discount of $25 off of the normal retail price. If action is more your thing, the recently released Assassin’s Creed III (which has been reviewed quite favorably) is also marked down to $34.99. Bethesda’s Dishonored has received an even bigger discount, from $59.99 all the way down to $25. Another Bethesda title, Skyrim (a game I enjoy tremendously), has been discounted down to $29.99.

Here are a few other titles that are getting some discount love:

  • Just Dance 4 – $25
  • LEGO Lord of the Rings – $29.99
  • Borderlands 2 – $34.99
  • Angry Birds Trilogy – $19.99
  • Batman: Arkham City – $19.99

In addition to these deals, the price for the Xbox 360’s Kinect accessory has been lowered to $99.99. If you’re not big on motion gaming, the device can still be used for voice commands in some games (like Skyrim and Madden 13), as well as for voice menu navigation in the Xbox 360 dashboard.

I think it’s safe to say these deals won’t be around for very long — heck, some of the games could sell out before the deals can even end officially — so if you’re planning on making the leap with credit card in hand, now’s the time to do it.
