Old Cfh Tip That I Can't Find

Recommended Posts

It's been too long, and I'm too old. How do you change the wording on top of the browser where it says "Microsoft Internet Explorer"? I know as soon as I see it, I'll say...that's right...duhhhh

Been quite a while since I've used windows but if I'm not mistaken, it's one of the features in TweakUI (microsoft.com)

At least that's where I hope I saw it or that means I'm getting old too. ;)

I saw these instructions a while ago but have never tried them out. USE WITH CAUTION........

Navigate to Start > Run and click on Run.

• In the input field, type "regedit" and then press enter.

• Navigate to the following key in the registry by clicking on the +'s next to the folders in the left pane (see picture below).

• HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain

• Right-click a blank space in the right-hand pane and go to New > String.

• Name the new String "Window Title".

• Double click the new String.

• For the value, enter what you want the title to be and then press enter.

Close regedit.
