TheTerrorist_75 Posted February 26, 2006 Report Share Posted February 26, 2006 I did a minimal custom install of Win98SE and IE6. Tweaked the heck out of the memory settings. Used the original RegCleaner (jv16) to remove unneeded programs. Intalled TweakUI 1.33 to alter the setup further. Downloaded StartupCPL to disable unnecessary crap from starting up. Ran multiple scans to find programs that report back and remove them. Searched the web for other tips to improve performance and increase stability. Download only those programs that I have used previously that worked successfully. Downloaded and installed updated drivers for everything.My computer has never ran this well.
