One Click Shutdown

hi im not sure if this is relevent or not

but it may help some one.

the one click shutdown command has been posted

now im posting the one click restart

same procedure as the shut down

but the command line is

Shutdown -r -t 0

once the command has been established

rename it restart.

and to use it double click the icon

ya know what my Compaq in my room, if ya hit the power button (not hold it down) and it will go through the shutdown sequence. The HP's and Compaqs at school do the same thing.

I beleive it's an XP feature in general - my built one does that too. the one click just closes out any annoying programs that don't want to close

i built one and

with spare bits

and you can use the oneclick shutdown

and the one click restart

so it must be a feature of windows

when i was a member of

techtv, i used it with windows 98se

tho not the restart

that must have come with

xp

another tid bit of info

when you need to restart your computer

because of an update or (asked to do so )

if you hold down the shift key

and then click on restart

you will restart windows only

and not go through the entire boot secquence
