ghorjus Posted September 28, 2005 Report Share Posted September 28, 2005 hi guys!ive posted this problem long ago.but i cant seem to find the text file i saved for this prob.anyway,i network my laptop (xp) and desktop (win2k)i got the ethernet card and cable hooked up.but i cant seem to get the network goin using the wizards.thanks,guys! If they are directly connected: are you using an ethernet crossover cable?Other things to check: are both computers members of the same workgroup? Is file sharing enabled on both systems? To do this...you need a cross-over cable (mostly red in color, but depends on where you buy it from). You are hooking two separate DTE devices together, so you have to use a cross-over cable.
