Mozilla Thunderbird E-mail Program

Recommended Posts

Thunderbird does not give you an email address. You use it to check your email with an already existing email address. For example, you can get a Yahoo address, and then use Thunderbird with it to check your email. If you plan on using it with either Yahoo or Hotmail, google [whichever] popper.

Yes, what Snaxe said...it's a program, just like Outlook or Outlook Express or Eudora, etc., etc. You have to plug your email into it (POP3 account) and it goes out and checks it for you, downloads it to your computer, displays it for you in pretty ways.

So, that's the deal. I'm still working on getting it to functions smoothly; I have it set to check mail every 10 minutes, but it isn't doing it still. For a full-fledged program, this sure *acts* a lot like beta software. *sigh* But, the interface is nice and it's not too bulky, so I'm still okay with it.
