New Computer!

Recommended Posts

Well it's not my computer, it is my friends (I just helped him out).

AMD Sempron 3000+ (Socket 754) CPU

Chaintech VNF3-250 nForce3 250 Motherboard

PQI Power Series 512MB Ram x2 = 1GB

Rosewill CD-RW Optical Drive

Western Digitel 80GB Hard Drive

XFX NVidia 6800 Video Card

Rosewill Value Black Steel case w/350 PSU

Think it will be any good? Remember, he was on a TIGHT budget. ($500)

looks like a pretty nice computer. Just a few questions, i'm curious :D:

Whats the speed on the RAM?

Whats the FSB on the CPU?

Any other info would be cool too....Its been so long since i've compiled parts online for cheap computers, it's kinda hard to know prices/specs on stuff now....

i would swing more towards an eVGA video card and motherboard other than that i'd say ok for a budget setup. that ram is good just look at my sig, i use it  but just hope you get the ones with PQI chips on them like i did. i've heard some folks got some with elixer chips that weren't all that great.

I'd take that in a heartbeat for a sub $500 pc. Good job. that will run just about anything you want it to. It will run all the games you want, not at lightening speed but certainly playable.
