Chuck,

New avast scan came up clean. The threat detected warnings I am referring to are the little pop ups in the lower right hand screen, they only give you the option that says details and when you click it, it opens a browser page with the name of the threat. I have not had any more of them today. Firefox seems so slow compared to chrome, haven't used it much in a while. Thank you again .....Oscar

Oscar, you could try re-installing Chrome now & see if that fixes the problem ! It's not an infection or i would of found it !

Some people have reported that Avast has give them false positives (false warnings) about pop-ups, but i have never had any !

Let me know if they happen again & see if you can get a screen copy for me !

Thanks

Chuck

Your welcome !

Thanks

Oscar !! .......... I would like for you to run another OTL scan for me !!

Download OldTimer to your desk top !
Links: http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.com http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.scr

If you already have a copy of OTL delete it and use this version.  (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).

* Double click OTL.exe to launch the program.
* Check the following.

o Scan all users.
o Standard Output. o Lop check.
o Purity check. oExtra Registry > Use SafeList

* Under Extra Registry section, select Use SafeList
* Click the Run Scan button and wait for the scan to finish (usually about 10-15 mins).
* When finished it will produce two logs.

o OTL.txt (open on your desktop).
o Extras.txt (minimised in your taskbar) The Extras.txt file will only appear the very first time you run OTL.

* Please post me both logs. This may have to be broken into more than one post !
