Death Of A Friend

OBITUARY

We mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by

the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many

years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his

birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red

tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such

value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the

rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life

isn't always fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound

financial policies (don't spend more than you earn)

and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids,

are in charge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate when

well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set

in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with

sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens

suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch;

and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly

student, only worsened his condition.

It declined even further when schools were

required to get parental consent to administer aspirin

to a student; however they could not inform the

parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common sense lost the will to live as the Ten

Commandments became contraband; churches became

businesses; and criminals received better treatment

than their victims. He finally gave up the ghost after

a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of

coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was

awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his

parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his

daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights

and Ima Whiner.

Not many attended his funeral because so few

realized he was gone.

If you knew him, pass this on. If not, join the

majority and do nothing.

He may not be dead, just took to many sucker punches, and is down for the count.

Hopefully he will be restored to everday life, once people realize the terrible loss to society without him.

I think that the pendulum is swinging back, so it will soon be obvious that he is needed now more than ever.

God bless everyone.

bozodog:

That was excellent. I think this crept up on us before we realized what was happening.

I see signs of us fighting back, at least I hope so.

The things that are happening today, I just shake my head in disbelief. Our priorities are backwards.

Most people do not like to fight, unless they are pushed back against the wall. That wall is getting closer.

to be honest i didn't really know him. but i can feel you guys sorrow. he must've been a great guy. while sometimes our backs may be up against the wall and there's no R2D2 to turn off the trash compactor for us. we must grab ahold of a large pipe and prop it against the wall. for we must save the princess. we must help the rebellion. and we must continue to flood the deathstar with spam.

I have often heard it said that God speaks to us through others. Often times when (I'm) speaking to others and he elects that I am that "other", That "other"is also speaking (volumes) to me. Let us hope then and (some) pray that in the wake of the election(s) in Iraq that we as a country take the opportunity, in the wake of a Democracy being born, to bear witness to the Truths that have made this nation a nation of distinction. Common Sense didn't die, He's been under house arrest. Shackled by the lies of the Main Stream Media. And just as the Light of truth begins to shine in Iraq so too shall Common Sense again see the light of day here in the place he once called home.

America/ Iraq = Home of the Brave, land of the Free.

I remember one time Common, we were on first name basis, was helping me with some carpentry work. I smashed my finger with the hammer. LOL That hurt. I grabbed the brad nail again, rared back to hit it with every ounce of my being. Common leaned over a said bet you get your finger again.

I started holding the nail with a pair of neddle nose pliers......

Boy that Common......

~wipes tears away, and eases back into the crowd.~
