Hi sparklez331,

Open HijackThis, press "Scan" and check the following items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [lmu] C:\WINDOWS\LMU.exe

O23 - Service: ZESOFT - Unknown - C:\WINDOWS\zeta.exe (file missing)

Here are some optional fixes in HijackThis:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

System Tray access to Apple's Quick Time viewer from version 5 onwards. Needs to be turned off within the program.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RealTray] C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\RealPlay.exe SYSTEMBOOTHIDEPLAYER

System Tray icon for RealPlayer. If you subsequently start RealPlayer manually it adds itself back to the start-up list. You can stop this from happening by right-clicking on the tray icon and disabling StartCenter via Preferences.

Close all windows except HijackThis, and click the "Fix Checked" button.

Reboot into Safe Mode. To do this:

* During reboot immediately begin tapping the F8 key

* Windows Advanced Options menu appears.

* Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode

* press Enter.

When safe mode loads up, find the following files and delete them:

C:\WINDOWS\LMU.exe

C:\WINDOWS\zeta.exe

Reboot and post a new log.

Hi,

Open HijackThis, click "Scan", and check the following optional item

Here is an optional fix in HijackThis:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [bJCFD] C:\Program Files\BroadJump\Client Foundation\CFD.exe

BroadJump Client Foundation. Broadband troubleshooting software installed by various companies. Not required and you can remove it via Add/Remove programs.

Close all windows except HijackThis, and click the "Fix Checked" button.

Reboot.

About your icon problem, try this:

Right-click your desktop, go to Arrange Icons by and make sure "Show Desktop Icons" is checked.

Post back with a new log, and if that worked.
