i live in a city

here in the south of nz

and every winter we get this snow fall

Then it got old quick!

BEFORE the Blizzard:

After the blizzard, that's Aron knocking the snowbank down to where I can reach it to shovel

Yeah, well, karma's a pain. I post a smart aleck comment ... and we've been under Winter storm warnings ever since. We have similar piles of snow everywhere.

17" of the white stuff over the weekend, now they're saying high 40's and rain on it's way... this is not going to be good.

Seventeen inches! Man! I'm EXHAUSTED from shoveling the four inches we got! (Just from last night/today, lots of stuff before that too.) And yeah, we're supposed to be warming up soon -- I agree, this won't be good. Hope the sump's up to it.

Chatted with a neighbor whilst shoveling, they had some pipes break. Hmm, both our homes were built in the same year, every time he has something go wrong, I'm next. Now every time I hear a sound I'm frantically looking around for ... something to be messed up.

Update: Pictures of the Winter Wonderland (I used my ten-year-old webcam 'cause it's my only digital camera ... ).

The driveway:

The back yard (note the fence line in the background, that's a barbeque in the foreground):

More back yard (again, note the fence, that's the deck table in the foreground):

Scratch those pictures of snow, it's all gone. Overnight. A warm front came through with heavy rains and it's all gone! In one day. Poof.

Glad I live on top of a ginormous hill.
