smilin_dave Posted November 3, 2008 Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 My son ( a guitarist ) went to a site that offered a FREE download guitar instruction transcription. After his download. Multiple pop-up windows appeared layering over the screen. The more he tried to close the worse it got. We cannot even get on the Internet, it tells us that we are offline. We can get to the start menu by simply unplugging the hard drive. It reboots itself but still no internet connection. We have a wireless connection in the house and the downstairs computer functions normally with a internet connection.My thought was to reformat his hard drive, but he would not like to loose all his pictures and music saved.
