This is: How does one restore the registry back-up? As you know it is filed in the My Documents folder. How do I get it restored from there? (I use Win98SE). I have exp problems before, after I cleaned my registyrywith CCleaner, and am hesitant to use it again until I am certain of how to restore deleted entries.Any advice will be apprecioated.Thanks.Gerry Quote Link to post Share on other sites
rhema7 Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 (edited) You should be able to find the backup file and right click it and choose merge this will reintergrate with the registry.You can make your own backups for added safety:1. got to start2. select run3. type regedit click OK4. file/ export 5. choose where you want to save to ( I save to a separate drive, external or jumpdrive) Edited September 29, 2008 by rhema7 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
