Hi, I was having a problem where the system guard on my McAfee suite kept shutting off.

Of course it couldn't find anything on a scan so I started running my other stuff.

Ad-Aware, Spybot and CCleaner didn't find anything out of the ordinary.

But when I ran MWBAM (free) it found this: Registry Data Items Infected:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel\Homepage (Hijack.Homepage) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

I was wondering if anyone knows of this and was it smart enoungh to shut off the system guard in the Mc crappy?

Howdy TJET, thanks for the congrats, was a long time spent in classes. They said that only about 3 out of every 10 make it thru !! Whewwww :wacko:

Ok, heres the way i understand that line.It's not a big deal but,

You must have used a program to lock changes to your homepage, like Spybot.

You can add it to MKBAM's ignore list and see if you still get the same line. Remember to Reboot.

After running it.

Hopes this helps !

Chuck
