ziggy7 Posted June 16, 2008 Report Share Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) Hi I'm from Jerusalem, Israel...In the last 3 months there's a site that I cannot open, it's an Israeli site for downloads of music, it's address is: www.mizrahit.co.ilWhat Iv'e dicovered is that when I try to type https instead of http it goes to an error page that says "There is a problem with this website's security certificate".yesterday I succeed to see someting that's called " Snake Oil Ca " in the certificate but today for some reason I don't remember how I discovered that thing lol...however I searched it on google and I found a thread from this forum from last year with exactley the same kind of error, that is some kind of a Trojan horse or malicious software powered by a business site or whatever it is... it's from 10th July, 2007: http://www.besttechie.net/forums/index.php...=12181&st=0I read it but I didn't really undesrtood how can I fix this problem and remove that thing thats called: "Snake Oil Ca" cause I tried almost everything to fix the problem that was preventing me from opening the site cause I didn't find any other logical explination for this problem...I would appreciate if someone can guide me how to fix this...and by the way, sorry for my "not so good" English, I still have to improve it..regards ! Do the following then we can proceed with resetting your network connection once your PC has been confirmed clean of malware.Download and install the newest HijackThis.TrendMicro HijackThis ver. 2.0.2Read these directions.How To Post A Hijackthis Log, Easy to Follow GuideCopy the generated log file then paste it in the following section of the forums.Malware Removal - HijackThis LogsPlease wait patiently for the experts to read your log and guide you on removing your malware. You may require different steps to get rid of it.I would advise you to follow TheTerrorist_75's advice and post a Hijack This log first. If you need more help then you will need to post in the Malware Removal-Hijack This Logs site and wait for someone who is certified to help you.TT_75 always gives good advice.Good Luck.
