It's hard to believe that I have been chatting with Hitest, shannan and some of the others for over 4 years now.. This is the only site I go to now, Leoville became full of trolls, it was hard to not tell people off.

what happen to Uberpenguin?

Yeah....I'm not going to Leoville as much anymore, not as fun as it was.

Yeah I can't believe we've been chatting all these years, iccaros! :D Very cool. B) You and jcl were very kind to me back then, helping a greenhorn. :)

Uberpenguin checked in here a few times then he faded away.

Those were that good old days.

They were simpler times. I just started using the computer(prior usage was my commodore 64 as a kid), we bought our first one for the family. It was a 2.0 ghz celeron system. I started watching "screens savers" and "call for help". With in a few months I installed Redhat 9 along with XP as a Dual boot. That was the same time I started posting in the techtv forums. Back then using computers was just a fun hobby, now today computers are my job so their not as fun as they used to be.

yes those were the days

i had just been introduced to linux

and i bought the three

mandrake disks

those days it was a bugger to

configure the dialup connection

you had to go to the console and do it from there

as i was never a dos man

i had all sorts of trouble

but some one from the board walked me through it

may have been one of you guys

used mandrake for about

two and a half years

but some how it wasent beeing

supported by linux

i think it went commercial

dont get me wrong it was a good sys

but you had to be an

expert to use it

and i wasent in that catorgory

yes linux is a whole new ball game to day

and it is much simplier to use

techtv

was always experimenting with new sys's

god it makes me nostalgic
