Slackware 12.1 Released

Slackware 12.1 is released! I just bought my 6 CD set from the Slackware Store, 49.95 is a small amount to pay for my favourite software.

I'm downloading the CDs now with bit torrent, but, it is slow going.

i have the slackware 12.0

but i cant seem to

find how to partition the hdd

and until i can do that it wont let me install

i have spare hdd drive

and ide like to try it

ive been on several message boards

and forums

but no where do they give me a blow by blow tip on how to install

it

i can get to the section where they ask to

partition

but ime stumped from there

does slackware12.1

have the this issue

i come to the conclusion any one who uses slack ware

is either very clever

with dos

any tips would be welcome

I would check out the Slack Book at slackware.com, marty:-) cfdisk is a user-friendly partition utility. The best thing to do is to thoroughly read-up on the installation procedure.

will it dual boot

on this old compt

i have windows on one drive and with the spare drive ide like to try slack ware

i started with dose

win3.1

but i find this a bit more

command useage

having a great time with ubuntu

i also purchased

dams mall linux

and ime able to get it on line

but slack ware is a different challenge
