I found this today. I didn't know about it so I wanted to pass it on.

Open a .pdf with Adobe Reader. Go to view/read out loud/enable read out loud. Now click next to some text, it will put a line around the paragraph and read to you.

I passed it around the office and no one knew it would read.

Of course that only works with the paid version and not just the free reader.

In case there are any Mac users reading this. Most any app that displays text can be read and there are apple scripts that will turn the text into aac file and sync to itunes and your ipod. But the voices get on your nerves pretty quick.
