With XP/Firefox, when I have the browser open and I want to type in a different web address, I'll click on the web address, it'll turn blue, and I can type in another website. With Firefox/Ubuntu, I'll click on the addressar but it won't do anything. I have to backspace and get rid of the current address, then I can type in the website I want.I've compared the settings between the 2, but I can't see anything. Until today, i never registered the difference between using firefox on linux or windows. I would always double click on windows, but it never seemed to work correctly. I know I'll probably never get it to work right, but I'm so used to it I'm not going to change. Maybe someday they'll write a driver for it. Another thing I'd like to do is have my text editor on the bottom toolbar for quick access. I looked a little bit this morning and seen some options but not for text editor.
