woe is me....woe is me.

the only thing that passed is my sound card and cd rom.

looks like I'll have to stck with winme.

I don't think that program works...it advised me to downgrade to win 3.1.

Well, look at the bright side...3.1 almost has all the bugs worked out of it. LOL

My AMD desktop passes with flying colors, but my Inspiron 8200 laptop does not. Vista claims it needs 128 mb video. I only have 64 (which is the most I can put in this laptop).

I might try it anyway. All the other specs exceed requirements. Or I might just stay with XP and Fedora.

Joe.

With your laptop. What will happen is, that Vista will see your card and set into motion Vista's automatic redundancy level to disable the Aero Desktop.

It will look more like XP then Vista. Same performance, but without all the Eye-Candy.
