since i started using ubuntu

i find my self indulging in it more and more

and less time on winxp

im not saying it is better

but i find it quicker

and more precise

dont get me wrong i cut my teeth on windows

and i still use it but not to the extent i was earlier

i have ubuntu 6.6

a friend sent from the united kingdome

and the flavour is english

and that is some thing different from

other operating sys which has been dominated by americain input

this is just some thing different

tho ime not saying it is better

just different

im a fan of american

input

as it is more tech orientated

but the english version

seems to be more lay back

i recommend any one trying linux

go for ubuntu

as it duasl boots good

and it is easy navigating

and as well there is plenty of help from the board

im hooked

i do have problems with the small text and ime not sure how to fix it

i dont want to install a third party font fixer

so any tips would be welcome

marty

Customize theme and fonts

1.

gnome-theme-manager

Click "Theme Details", and fiddle away. My preferred theme is "IndustrialTango".

2.

gnome-font-properties

My preferences are "App=Sans 10, Desktop=Sans 10, Window title=Sans 10, Terminal=FreeMono Medium 12".
