  1. Yes, I agree. I appreciate your help, though! Some things seem to be running better....until they get "hung up." Thanks again!
  2. Thanks for all your help. I did finally figure out a way to get Adobe reader installed. I had to go to a different place on the Adobe website. My computer is still having problems, so I think there is something more wrong with it than you can help me with. My Firefox keeps stopping and saying "not responding" and so does my Microsoft Word, especially when I am trying to save a document. I also get the "not responding" message on other things when I am trying to open them up. Unfortunately, I am afraid that all the cleaning that we did didn't solve my problem. I don't know if programs are
  3. Adobe AIR is listed in the uninstall/control panel, and says it was installed today. So it must have been installed with the Adobe Flash. Adobe Reader is not listed anywhere
  4. Hello again! Adobe reader is not listed in the programs. The only one other than Adobe Flash is something called Adobe AIR. I don't know what that is.
  5. I finally got the flash player to install, but still not able to get reader
  6. I tried installing the Adobe reader and flash after turning off my anti-virus, and it still didn't work. After I ran JavaRa, it said no logfile exists. I had already installed the most recent Java...which is version 7 update 60... I am still having the same issue
  7. I Pm'd you on facebook, but I thought I would post here as well. I can't get the Adobe programs to download to my computer. I downloaded the installers, and when I double click on them the box pops up that asks me if I want to "Run" them. I click on "run" and then nothing happens. This is the same problem my computer has been having. These programs wouldn't update, which is why they were outdated. Any suggestions?

  9. I did the OTL fix. In the text document that you posted, there was another thing you wanted me to download and run, but it wasn't inlcuded in your other post. Only the OTL fix was posted there. Can you post the other one here again? Thanks!

  14. * There was a button under the "Hosts" tab that said "fix Hosts" I didn't do anything with it, because there wasn't anything in the directions about it. Do I need to do anything with it?

  16. Hi! My computer runs really slowly. It takes forever to open up programs, and even longer if I am trying to save a word document, for example. Sometime my Firefox also runs really slowly. Also, I have been trying to update my Adobe Flash, but it just won't do it. Thanks for your help!
