I love working with deaf children, since I became deaf when I was 5yrs. old. <br /><br />I like anything to do with computers (building, repairing & troubleshooting) with my brother. He knows alot, but I like to try and learn on my own (hence the stupid questions I ask).<br /><br />

1. You probably need to download a codec pack, like K-Lite http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm Anyway, VLC Player plays everything and it's free. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
2. Mine's pretty basic. No Script Adblock Plus Foxmarks Tab Scope
3. The rest of the specs between the two are for the most part the same. 4GB of Ram, 320GB HD, Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. and dedicated video cards. The Intel gives you the choice of a (IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD or 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS for the Intel. (Not sure which to get) or The AMD system which has a ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics. There's about a hundred to one fifty differences between the Intel and AMD models. I also heard that AMD's run hotter than the Intel.
4. I'm in the process of ordering a new laptop from Costco. They let you custom order HP's and it comes with a free 2yr warranty and still cheaper than Best Buy. My problem is, I'm not sure if I should go with intel or AMD. I know everyone's going to say go with intel but the AMD is cheaper. This is going to be used for work and watching videos, no gaming. The two CPU's I'm thinking of are: AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-80 (2.1 GHz) or IntelĀ® Core2 Duo Processor T6400 (2.0GHz) I've tried looking for info on comparing them but can only find old data (2005-2007). Nothing current. Is there going to be differences in performance between the 2? I'd really like your advice on this. Thanks
5. Your best bet would be to partition your internal hard drive and install Windows there.
6. It's possible that the lens is dirty. You could try a Laser Lens Cleaner. You can get one at Walmart or Best Buy.
7. Thanks guys, I had a great Birthday
8. Which converters have you tried? Try http://www.snapfiles.com/get/jodixipodvideo.html or http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/
9. What OS are you using? I think you need more RAM, at least 512MB for XP.
10. Yes IMO, Firefox is better than IE and Opera. It's fully customizable with add-ons and themes. It seems to be the fastest too.
11. That's a good deal. Does the picture look good? I'm looking for a 22' monitor myself
12. Ultimate Boot CD is good and legit.
13. Never really liked AVG. Avast is a better program IMO.
14. I installed it without any problems.
