  1. Have you tried right clicking on the install for the program you are trying to install and run it as administrator. I have seen were you must install an application with the run as administrator.
  2. Here's what you have to do: 1. run regedit to edit the registry 2. go to this location in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft 3. there should be a windowsfirewall key listed under Microsoft, delete just the entire windows firewall key, do not mess with the others. 4. Reboot and all should be fine.
  3. Looks to me to be just some audio library. Here
  4. Do you have any CD Burning software installed? For example Nero. 98SE will only recognize it as a cdrive unless you have a thrid party burning software installed.
