  1. and hello to you too sultan and robroy...........
  2. I agree with you terrorist about choices. that's why I don't use quicktime. that program puts files all over the place and hard as hell to get rid of.
  3. actually our average rainfall here is 4-5 inches per month for this time of year the average high is 55f...average low is 31f average people that have hit a deer is 90% average people that have hit a armadillo is 100% average people that have hit a skunk is 100% average people that have hit a squirrel is 100% average IQ is 70...hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  4. with a little research you will find that a lot of humans have this problem also. due to deep rooted physological problems they pull out their hair. sorry bozodog, I haven't mastered ms paint yet.
  5. heh heh I remember about a year ago a thread on this subject went on for about 2 weeks. sure caused a lot of hard feeling among the posters there. I should mention that was over at that other forum...GGGGGG444444444444 bozodog I couldn't have said that better myself.
  6. oh we had it pretty rough here in se oklahoma. we got 5 inches of rain which we desperately needed. got a light sleet and 482 snowflakes. 26 degrees last night, sunshine today and 90% gone. (oh, don't forget about global warming)
  7. Well I don't think it's the starting and stopping of programs that you should be concerned with. there are are lot of variables in msconfig, some that can be changed, some that can be moved, and some that can be deleted altogether. I don't know diddly squat about XP but on older operating systems changing some of that stuff could potentially crash your system (or cause memory leaks) I have used msconfig to change my autoexec.bat, sys.ini. or win.ini but still much simpiler in notepad. personally it doesn't worry me to modify some of that junk but I find mike lin's control panel so much simplie
  8. hello sultan my friend. good to see you around. where you been hanging out lately?
  9. I have 7 computers....4 of which are on 24/7. that is just me...I don't really know if it hurts them or not but they are still working after 3-5 years. the only time they are down is for cleaning. I did get a cable modem fried during a thunderstorm but didn't hurt the computer. replacement modem was free. my advice is do what is right for you.
  10. I guess I don't understand the problem. I use firefox and it worked for me. even tho I don't need it I went so far as to download it and then deleted it.
  11. worked fine for me...sorry, no help here tater. I'm also on winme.
  12. hi rv56...yes I did fly the ultralight. the hard part was the landing. the landing gear broke as I touched down. ruined everything except for the motor. I posted some pics at drew's world also.
  13. I made a couple of post in the modding section about cars and airplanes. I finally got the pics on cd so now I want to know the best way to post them here. there are 16 pics at approx 60kb each. will that use too much bandwidth or whatever? i need to make it simple. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/123453/truck-05.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/123453/truck-11.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/123453/truck-08.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/123453/truck-06.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/123453/truck-03.jpg
  14. now I feel bad. hotmail 0% yahoo 0% email 1%....avg 3 junk email a day. I've got to get a life.
  15. Believe it or not, but I found that was the easiest way to change a couple of plugs on my mother's '86 Caprice. It was far easier than changing the plugs in a '69 Boss 429 Mustang. I had two of them that I serviced at the old speed shop. I had to pull the engines to change the plugs. After the third time the customers asked me if there was something that could be done to make it easier. I used a holesaw to drill holes in the fender wells in line with the plugs and used those plastic plugs used in floor pans to seal them. If they wanted to change the plugs they just popped those out. I'm glad
  16. well I called my mechanic this morning to find out what was wrong with my car. this is what he told me the water pump won't pump the spark plugs won't spark the generator won't gen the starter won't start and the pistons won't...............................move up and down.
  17. Baghdad Bob: The chicken never crossed the road! He is safe in Baghdad, miles from the marauding vehicles of the infidel! THERE IS NO ROAD! Halliburton: We were asked to help the chicken cross the road. Given the inherent risk of road crossing and the rarity of chickens, this operation will only cost the US government $326,004. U.S. Marine Corps: The chicken is dead.
  18. AUTOCLAVE works for me but I don't know if it will work with these new drives. it has been discontinued but google can show you where it is. I just read the instructions. autoclave only works with IDE.
  19. I don't think we wannna go there....
  20. ticker tocker...getting off topic here. did you call your high schol sweetheart yet?
  21. well I have to say that my favorite, mostest, bestest part is......no ads. but living on a fixed income makes it kinda hard to donate. thanks jeff for the freebies.
  22. thanks terrorist. guess i will stick with email.
  23. I did find a fax service with google. you have to deal with a third party and they charge you 12 cents a page. I assume that you email them what you want to fax and they just forward it for you thru their fax machine. or I can buy a fax modem and split from my computer to my phone line. there is free fax software out there and some will let you fax directly from your email. seems like a lot of trouble just to send a fax. google is wondeful ain't it?
  24. ok...now you must remember I have winme. I am on dsl running thru a modem and plugged into a phone line I need to fax some things. is there a free program to do this and can I do this or will I need a fax modem. maybe I will need to ask my ISP if I can fax thru the modem. I will do as my president and do the google while I'm waiting for an answer. thank you.
