I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary on my computer...redirected pages, slowdown, etc but I was kinda worried about the netstat report. here is my log: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 11:22:11 PM, on 4/1/2005 Platform: Windows ME (Win9x 4.90.3000) MSIE: Internet Explorer v5.50 (5.50.4134.0100) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KERNEL32.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSGSRV32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\mmtask.tsk C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MPREXE.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ZONELABS\VSMON.EXE C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SYSTRAY.EXE C:\PROGRAM FILES\GRISOFT\AVG FREE\AVGCC.EXE C:\PROGRAM FILES\GRISOFT\AVG FREE\AVGEMC.EXE C:\PROGRAM FILES\GRISOFT\AVG FREE\AVGAMSVR.EXE C:\PROGRAM FILES\ZONE LABS\ZONEALARM\ZLCLIENT.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WMIEXE.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\STIMON.EXE C:\PROGRAM FILES\MOZILLA FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\DDHELP.EXE C:\HIJACK\HIJACKTHIS.EXE R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.cnn.com/ R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=192.168.0.1:87 R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = www.direcwaysupport.com;192.168.0.*;<local> O2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYBOT~1\SDHELPER.DLL O2 - BHO: AcroIEHlprObj Class - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\ADOBE\ACROBAT 5.0\READER\ACTIVEX\ACROIEHELPER.OCX O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [systemTray] SysTray.Exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AVG7_CC] C:\PROGRA~1\GRISOFT\AVGFRE~1\AVGCC.EXE /STARTUP O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AVG7_EMC] C:\PROGRA~1\GRISOFT\AVGFRE~1\AVGEMC.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AVG7_AMSVR] C:\PROGRA~1\GRISOFT\AVGFRE~1\AVGAMSVR.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Zone Labs Client] "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zlclient.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [scanRegistry] C:\WINDOWS\scanregw.exe /autorun O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [TrueVector] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ZONELABS\VSMON.EXE -service O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0\bin\npjpi150.dll O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0\bin\npjpi150.dll O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\VxD\MSTCP: NameServer = 66.82.4.8,66.82.4.12

  23. ok..I'll try to say this as plain as possible. I bought a refurb computer from Tigerdirect that has win2000 pro. now these refurbs don't come with a disk and they won't supply one. is there a simple way to put this on a cd so if I ever have to reformat, change hard drive, or use on my other computer? please explain it simply as you are talking to a dumb injun....thanks
