  1. Did your camera come with a CD. The drivers and possibly some photo software. Try installing the drivers for your camera off the CD if you have it. If not, go to the cameras website and get the drivers you need.

  7. It shows IE7 in the Add/Remove list. So If SP3 wants to auto install IE7, You can remove it later.
  8. Liz. I do think one would want to upgrade to SP3. Also it's nothing like SP2 was. I have installed and reinstalled it a dozen times now since it's beta release. And each time it was flawless. Both with my virus and firewalls running and turned off. The SP3 Beta didn't show much improvment. But SP3 RC1 does show improvment to the speed and agility of XP. I noticed right away the difference between the two. Plue the 4 added security features added from Vista. And unless you did the recomended updates from M$, You may have missed many Hotfixes. I know IE7 is included with SP3, but as one being a
  9. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Go and have a good time on your special day!!!
  10. The way I set it up. Like the one on my main pages. You have two files you need for flash. One is your "SWF File" (the actual graphics), and one is the "Text File" (telling it how to act). This is the way my control text file looks like to get it to go to BTs when you click on it. The second line points it to the URL. &url=http://www.besttechie.net/forums/index.php?&urljumpto=http://www.besttechie.net/forums/index.php? This is how my whole text file looks. &label600=Dots&constructor=[type Function]&__proto__=[object Object]&globalsound=[object Object]&freeze=halt &

  16. Can you connect without using your router? PC to Cable Modem. If you have a disk or the log-on info to access your router. Run the setup or config wizard for your router. If the router was set up for a different PC. Reset your router back to the default settings. (usually a reset button on back of the router.)
  17. Laptop or Desktop? Dialup, Cable or wireless?
  18. Well the problem was my old router. Been running fine now. Tried the old one earlier and in about 10 min. it was out. At least I don't feel to bad. Who would of thought it would have been something like that. LOL At least I'm back up and running.
  19. Well, been trying the live cd version of Ubuntu 7.10 and it seems to find everything it needs to run OK. I have good graphics, sound, internet connection. So far it's just been the basics to get a feel for it. But I am impressed!!! It takes a little while to load to desktop. But I figure it's because of running off the CD and not from a drive. I wonder if I can sneak it onto my third drive and get it to work like I have it set up now. I have Vista and my backup drives connected to one IDE port. And my XP drive connected with my CD drive on the CD IDE port. So far there is no need for a boot
  20. It might be. Try unplugging everything you don't need, Like your floppy drive, CD, the case fans (not the processor fan). Any second cd drives. Just try running it with the bare essentials and see if that improves things. It could even be a stick of ram starting to go bad. If there is more then one, try swapping one out and changing them around. Even remove/replace them. Might not be getting a good connection anymore.
  21. Well..... Maybe I wasn't to dumb. Started acting up agian. So I did the reconfig on the router and it started to work for about 10 minutes. Then nothing. Reconfiged agian and the same thing happened. Ran without the router and it kept going and going and going. Plugged in the router and within 10 min. out it went. So I grabed my Linksys router and configed it. We'll see how it goes. Might be my D-Link router going by by
