    I Found It !

Looks like we all know where the New Years Party's at this year.
  2. Interesing....... This is going in the notebook. Paper one, not digital. This is a real good one to know about.
  3. That's cool! I like this story. I'll bet it was a wonderous christmas feeling.
  4. Have you tried looking to see if there are new drivers for your card? I think with Vista. The new trend is to...... Push people to get cards with DirectX10 capabilities. There are some really good games for Vista.... But they mostly are looking for the DX10 capability when they are trying to run. And right now those cards are not to cheap. I would check for and install the latest drivers you can find and then maybe tweak the settings to try to get the best performances you can get. Vista's new architect pushes more of the graphic workload onto the graphic card, thus taking most of the workload
  5. There was a problem with some users having IE shut down on some websites with the update. Tho most people have no problems with the update. I myself would download and install the fix just to be on the safe side. If there is a small problem, even if it doesn't effect one. A fix is not a bad thing to apply to a possible problematic program.
  6. Just a slight wonder. Look in your prefetch folder and see if by chance there is a "exe" file in there. Or something besides the layout.ini or pf. files. Sometimes.... for some unknown reason, windows will pop something in there thats not supposed to be in there. And it gets to running at the wrong time.
  7. Merry Christmas to all.
  8. Glad you got er going jim.... But it looks like TT_75 did all the work getting you through with this one...
  9. Marty Here are two good sites to tell you how to do it. They are for SP2. But just use the SP3 loader files in place of SP2 Paul Thurrott's Slipstreaming Help with Windows - Slipstreaming
  10. Poor Liz..... Not wanting anything to do with IE7.... And getting closer to reality is IE8. Maybe in 2008. M$ is just now starting to talk about it openly.... And it almost looks like IE8 is really going to give Firefox the run for the money from what I have been reading on some of the MSDN blogs. IE8.....NO NO NO........
  11. You will have to uninstall the RC version to get the final version. But for XP it's a simple thing to do. Not much time involved. Vista on the other hand is a chore to uninstall the SP and replace. It's a half a night project. I'll have to do some checking on SP3 to see if it covers all the updates. I know somewhere I read something about SP1 and from there up. But If you would have to do the SP1 from a virgin copy of XP.... I'm not sure. As for updates for M$, There are many Hotfixes that don't show up using "Windows Update". I have discovered that some, have to almost be searched for to fi
  12. Looks Like M$ has released XP SP3 RC so everyone can try it out. The update is all ready out.... See the next reply down for the download link.

    Weeweechu

One beautiful December evening, Pedro and his girlfriend Rosita were sitting by the side of the ocean. It was a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey mamacita, let's play Weeweechu." "Oh no, not now, lets look at the moon" said Rosita. "Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I play Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged. "But, I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." "Please corazoncito, just once, play Weeweechu with me." Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK one time, we'll play Weeweechu." Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang ... "Weeweechu a Merry Christmas

  15. BOY!!! I still haven't heard any dates for release. I'm supprised that M$ hasn't released a public preview yet for SP3 RC1. They have for Vista's. But then, M$ is trying to do whatever they can to boost Vista. But After the release of XPs SP3 RC1. It will be worth having it. I can't wait for the final release of both.... I am getting tired of the little "Windows Vista Evaulation Copy. Build 6001" Showing up above the taskbar clock on the desktop. It's not there in XP. I wonder why that is? And don't everyone get worried..... The little message goes away if you uninstall the beta's and

  18. Found this on Google. Intended For Windows 98 Windows 95 In Windows 3.x and earlier, one needed to load DOS before running Windows. In Windows 95 and 98, DOS is still there, kindof, but the command prompt is skipped when loading Windows. To go to the Command Prompt before loading Windows, follow these instructions. Open the file C:\MSDOS.SYS with a text editor, like notepad. You'll probably have to remove the Read-only, System, and Hidden attributes of the file before editing it. Find the line that reads BootGUI=1, and change it to BootGUI=0. Save the file and reboot your computer. Type
  19. Nice... Some good find in there!
  20. I have been running the service pack since it came out and before it was released when it was a beta package. I have not had any problems with it at all. As long as you follow the instructions I gave you should not have any problems with it. It is best for the Home User to wait until they see it available at windows update to get it. This way you will get a significantly smaller download and installer based on what patches you already have and which ones you still need. I suggest that if you choose to enable automatic updates, you set them to prompt only, not to install automatically. This
  21. SP1 will be available through Microsoft Windows Update (WU). Windows Automatic Updates will normally automatically update your machine each night for several days with the prerequisites and then offer Service Pack 1. This will be done in four steps. Prier to the SP1 download, everyone will get three required updates to prepare for SP1. You will have to install all pending “Important†updates and reboot. You may have to do this several times to get fully up to date. To reduce the number of reboots required to install Windows Vista Service Pack 1, the prerequisite packages will be released
  22. I hope you have a great HAPPY BIRTHDAY
  23. Annoy? hahahaa I missed that one and spell check missed it to..... But the message was there..... LOL
  24. Great.... Since this is more of a tech question/answer... I'm moving this post to "PC Support" where others might find their answers better if they are looking to solve a problem along these lines.
