I have plugged it into numerous outlets...pushed the cord in as far as it will go....I guess I need to call the Apple store

My IMac (the one with the round base) has been unplugged for about two weeks. (I bought a new one) Today I went to turn it on and nothing...no fan..no chime....any ideas?? I have checked all the connections. I was going to give it to my brother to use....
