  1. I see XP in the name of that....He's using 98SE....Could that be a problem?
  2. Check out this link. Alternatively, you could use TweakUI
  3. Poor Common Sense; he was a good man. I for one will miss him though he will always be in my heart.
  4. The light on optical mouses never goes out unless you unplug it or turn off the computer. I've never thought about turning it off....I'm guessing that the camera wouldn't function if it didn't get enough light which is the function of that light. That would probably explain why you couldn't find an option to disable it.
  5. Am I too late? Happy Birthday JSKY!
  6. Oh, I just remembered that I forgot to disable system restore for him...
  7. This is a friend's HJT log. I've run Ad Aware, Spybot, A squared, and Trojan Hunter. I saw a lop.exe which I know isn't good, but it doesn't seem to be running at the moment. I also saw a "rundll32.exe" that speaks for itself. Poor Bill

I read that yesterday and almost fell out of my chair laughing
  9. XHTML, XML (not really), CSS, intermediate JavaScript and just started BASIC. And I've got the weekend with BASIC.
  10. I am 99.9% sure that would not be possible. There is nothing powerful enough to do that with web pages. That and I don't think I'd go to a site that could control what happens with my keyboard.

    My Sig

Same here tictoc. If you were wondering/didn't know why you need to use # before the six character hex code, it denotes that the following six chars will be a hex value in the order RRGGBB (red, green, blue).

    My Sig

It should just be a matter of reorganizing, so to speak, the code. I'm just guessing here, but you probably have: {IMG}URL{/IMG} {IMG}URL2{/IMG} Where {=[ && }=] All you should have to do is make it: {IMG}URL{/IMG}{IMG}URL2{/IMG} That is, if I'm understanding what you want done.
  13. <happynewyear>Tsk tsk, Snaxe. Using the same thing twice in two consecutive posts.</happynewyear>

    Which OS?

I used to use Red Hat 9, but stopped using it when Red Hat discontinued support of that great product. I hear Fedora Core 3 is pretty good. I only have Red Hat because a family friend who helped my brother put together my computer happened to have Red Hat and asked me if I wanted it, naturally I said "Sure"

    Which OS?

I use Windows XP primarily with an occasional Red Hat 9. I still try to avoid "What's your favorite OS?" questions as I don't fully understand or use Red Hat yet, though I have good expectations. Whenever I go to Red Hat I find it fun.
  18. Does this help? It was written by uberpenguin, a member here, and I think some of his friends.
  19. I use Thunderbird, but I just did with Firefox.
  20. It seems to me that it varies person to person. I say, back everything up in case you get unlucky and it goes wrong. I also say that if you've just done a clean install, go for it, you've got nothing to lose. That's what I did anyway.
  21. HAPPY BIRTHWEEK! Yay, caps lock...

  23. What mail service? Does he use an email client like Outlook, Thunderird, or Eudora? If so, which one?
