    i have used avast since the early techtv days when pete posted it on call for help and as i set to high and ive had one virus since which was my fault as i went on line and searched for avast and got a bogus site posing as major geeks those days i was green as grass but ive learned from that day on and i havent had a virus since many of us who posted at tech c.f.h swear by it and i got that notice because ive been a long time user as well ive installed it on many compts for friends personally it is the best and better still it is FREE marty

  7. ime nor sure how many use regcleaners in any form tho ime not a fan off them i found this article showing the for and against reg cleaners and at the end the buggers say down load the one with the best performence which i presume comes from the ones who ran the survey bloody cunning buggers condemming all but there own i was taught a long time ago leave the reg for the experts tho i use regcleaner it still needs to be used properly any how read it marty http://registrycleanerhelp.org/7fjw/

  14. hi bar i recently installed spywareblaster and i noticed the difference to what i set it to i thought it was because i have my cookies set at prompt and some times i dont allow cookies from certain sites and i thought this was the cause allowing cookies or rejecting them i didnt realise others were getting the same response as to the cause i havent a clue have a look at what your cookies are set at i feel spyware blaster is responding to what you set your sys to maybe some one can give us answer marty
  15. be carefull with ccleaner it can get you into trouble any one recommending this program should post these wranings i suggest you read the help files the bloody program blocked my access to windows and being a new chum to the program i had to reinstall windows and i havent used it since there are safe and just as good progams out there as this ccleaner and SAFER marty
  16. well you guys are a wealth of knowledge ive installed spyware blaster and i like it but now many of you are talking malwarebytes and until i posted my problem ide never heard of it ive been through all these posts and there are many using the utilitiy so if it is compatable with SBlaster ile try it i havent used spybot for some time now i feel all these programs have their usefull ness in their day [ad-aware] but are soon replaced by some thing better things have come on the market suited to the times ime quite impressed with this thread as it has taught me some thing by every ones

  21. hi steve prior to getting vista i used malicious tool for some time it made me feel secure but since i changed to vsta i forgot about the malicious tool i installed spyware balster and ran into a small problem a friend sent me a video to watch and it wouldnt let me watch unless i had adobe flash installed wel after two days i still couldnt install the flash player so i had to recount back and by accident i went to spyware blaster and found it was blocking adobe flash instilation they feel the flash was letting a lot of stuff through that shouldnt be there so i unchecked the block and
  22. flash 4 yes they are having many problems in oz one of the problems is lack of water australia is fast running out of water to fight the fires they had to use monsoon buckets to ferry the water from 50 miles away and that is the reason it got out of control tell any ozzy you dont believe in global warming and you have a fight on your hands up until now they thought global warming was invented by some of those people who sit in trees but these fires have changer many minds and the deaths havent help isnt it funny no one beleives any thing until a death wakes them up marty
  23. i welcome all the feed back from people who know at the monet i have spyware blaster installed and it is a silent worker which is what i like in regards to avast ive used it since pete posted it on the techtv call for help message board and that is a coupla days ago and ive installed it on many compts as i did whith ad-aware but that -program is not appliable any more in this modern day isnt it funny we used to swear by it now no one uses it any more up until now ive had a good run with my compt and the only thing about vista is the secutiry it is very tight and some times inconveni
