  1. upon researching your request, there is no tutorial availble on line for creating one. What I would suggest you do is check with a local college about programming in c+ or c++ or even in VBS or Java. it seems that everything I tried to find your answer led to that same conclusion.
  2. sorry all i forgot to put the sub-heading on the server, my bad, uploaded it today.
  3. hi all ok i'm having one of those days. as usual. but to put it bluntly I need a little guidance. I have a html form that I want to convert over to JS, but just can't figure it out no matter what I try. if now one can help I will just leave it and try to spruce it some how, but i really wnat to make this a JavaScript file. the code is below, if you can figure it out let me know. Thanks. Please note that my codes are copywritten, so please ask if you want to use it. Also realise that I want to make this a lot better so any help there would be helpful, also if there is a way to make it so tha
  4. ok you can try one of two things here. First of all you can try the lovely 800 number listed by M$ supposedly, according to there site there is another number you can call and talk to a live person, that number should be found upon your activation screen. Second off you can see if you can get anywhere with this number, although i believe it is their general support number that you have to pay to use. 1-800-936-3500 (US & Canada only) Now I can tell you that I had a similar incident when I first installed my XP a year ago and actually talked to a real person from that lovely 800 number on
  5. well i'm not sure about the phone number part, but I have gotten some good answers from their online chat http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertz...ts/default.mspx There is always someone there that can help with that situation, who knows they might even have a number for ya, oh and btw, they give you two (2) help sessions for free on theri phone line, after that they start charging you $20 for any other assistance calls.
  6. hi saw your post, to solve that problem do this: On internet explorer tools->internet options-> advanced tab scroll down through the list and find warn about invalid site certificates remove the checkmark hit apply, if the window stays open then hit OK, close explorer and restart it, then go one of the webpages you mentioned, you shouldn't see that warning anymore
  7. I used to have norton, unitl it locked up my entire computer. boy was i glad I got rid of that program. once again another reason not use Norton, they mess with things on your computer that they shouldn't even have access to.

just so you all know the link is dead. Appearantly the story is no longer available from the source listed. to Save yourself the time of looking for the story on that link. I have disbled the link
  9. hey All, I just found this today, might be intersted in looking at it for information regarding upgrading your computer. Get the whole story here Upgrades: Risk Versus Reward
  10. sometimes that can be caused by the write-protection technology encrypted on the Original disk.
  11. if you just need the audio driver updated this is what I would suggest.. just get the updated driver. currently the newest driver is V1.11. If this is newer then the one you have, you don't have to mess with the BIOS at all. I get all my BIOS info for free from Gigabyte {mobo manufacturer} for my mobo, but only had to get it once for my computer. Now it updates itself if it needs to. Anyway I did a search for your problem, I used the Keyword SIS 7012 updates and this is what I found. Now if your current audio driver is this version don't bother, it seems to me the problem may be Everquest as
  12. I don't know if this will help in your problemor not, but it might be worth checking into. It seems that this person had the same problem you do. here is the link http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,11505788 what he was doing is probably different from your situation, but teh answer may lie in what he had to do, It seems that his down speed was too high for the router system to handle. which makes sense to me. I fit is too high it will cause the lockups, becasue the modems are always trying to retrain for a higher rating then they can handle.
  13. ok since this has been succesfully answered I am going to close this topic. For security reasons this topic is not available to re-opening.
  14. forgot to mention that sometimes the activity light will blink with bots and hackers tryignto access your comp. that is why a good AV and Firewall are important to have on your system. PS windows xp firewall, is not a good firewall as it only stops incoming traffic not outgoing, so if you already got infected with something that send info out to its owner, it is sending the info out.
  15. Yes power supplies can go kaput gradually, had the same thing happen on my old system. When it finally when Kaput on me it fried my mobo and everything attached to it. based on that happening I would recommend replacing the PS ASAP it that turns out to be the problem.

  20. ok, first off I am not going to pounce on anyone, I think the first thing you need to do Petabeata is figure out what it is that you are looking for and why. Second off I along with other mods and the admin team will be monitoring this thread closely. if it starts going over that little line that you are standing very close too, I or another will end this topic. so consider yourself notified for safety sake. Second off, I used to be a hacker/cracker. I got out of it when the feds were starting to get tough back in the 80's. so now I ask you Petabeata, what is it that you want to truely find o

  22. never heard of it, but from looking at the website where you can get it, I would say why waste the money and resources. it is a Java script program that runs on top of Windows, Java script will take a lot of reousrces without needing Windows help. so think wisely before grabbing it. by thte looks of it the information you can pretty much get that same info from programs that are already on your computer. I guess the main question is what can Konfabulator do that makes it worth $20 bucks?
  23. well your log looks clean Nerelda, you can get rid of these entries as they aren't used anymore. O4 - Global Startup: MA101 Configuration Utility .lnk = ? 24. no problem, i fyou have any other problems we can help with please post a new question. I am locking this topic now as it seems to have been resolved, safe surfing and enjoy the site. If you need this thread opened please pm a moderator or Admin with a link to this post in it, with the title of need re-opened.
  25. well your log is clean so what I would recommend doing it this: Boot into safe mode, then remove this file C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Media Player then reboot into normal mode that should take care of your problem, it sounds to me that if adaware and spybot aren't finding that as a problem then pestpatrol may have it flagged as a false positive.
