  12. i'm no monitor expert, but it sounds like the monitor might be screwed up, I would recommend contacting the company about it, it should still be under warranty, since you said you got ia month ago, so there would be no charge to you except for shipping and handling charges to and from the repair facility.

Hope that helps

My question is this, is Knoppix/linux compatible with most programs out on the market? Also does this OS have a built in fax program like windows? and another one, is Knoppix/linux that hard to get used to? i'm sure I will have more questions as I go on thinking about this idea. Not to mention being able to put my wife at ease, she is a Windows Junkie, she doesn't even like using a browser unless it is IE, I personally al
  22. uhnfortunately M$ controls the computer market. they figure if they make the main OS used worldwide, then they will mkae sure everythign is compatible to them and them only. Hopefully Linux will start getting a larger share of the market as people see that M$ programs have serious security holes. Granted if it wasn't for those security holes the forums like this wouldn't be as busy as they are. but still we are hoping.
  23. I am going to politely tell everyone regarding this thread to read the Guidelines Thank you.
