hi i wanna secure the directory "secure" in apache on a unix box ive altered the httpd.conf file then put a .htaccess file in secure containing: AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /var/www/html/secure AuthName “Restricted †<LIMIT GET POST> require valid-user </LIMIT> then i added a username and password to the htpasswd file etc. but i dont get asked for a username or password when i access a htm file in the secure directory any ideas? cheers for any help
